Experienced News Reporter, fluent in Mandarin, required for a leading online news provider based in London. The company has a global news presence and are hoping to onboard a talented News Reporter to work on their World News desk. As a reporter fluent in Mandarin, you will be tasked with translating news stories from Chinese to English, in-line with the news providers brand guidelines.

Central to the role is a core interest in international news. You will be covering a variety of news stories, predominantly from Asia, and will be required to work to tight deadlines. This brand is looking for the best of the best, and so you will be required to have previous experience in a busy 24-hour newsroom, preferably on a national level.

Essential skills

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy newsroom
  • Competent in translating stories into engaging content
  • Proven ability to deliver on multiple tight deadlines
  • NCTJ qualification
  • Valid right to work in the UK
