RedCat Digital are incredibly excited to be working with one of the world’s most recognisable brands in the food industry to find a Data Manager that can aide with the launch of their new ecommerce platform.
This zinger of a role is working for a company with over 900 stores across the UK employing over 27,000 people. They are a Fortune 250 company with a world-famous colonel at the helm that likes to do things differently, creating a culture of fun with a focus on future career progression. They were voted Britain’s Top Employer for 3 years in a row with the UK being recognised as a key market not only in terms of profit and innovation by also for talent development.
2019 includes some huge exciting plans for this company as they continue innovating. As well as their current presence in terms of physical stores as well as their continues partnerships with delivery companies such as Deliveroo they will now be expanding their reach further with the very own mobile app. This new ecommerce platform will allow my client to continue to develop products such as their loyalty scheme and a click + collect service further, while also being able to truly begin to understand who their customers are.
As a business they have a huge amount of customer data available to them from a number of different sources (an estimated 2.5 million customer data points) and as they embark on this new ecommerce journey they have an ambition for over 50% of their sales to be digitally generated by 2020.
In order for this to be a success we require somebody who can effectively make sense of these huge datasets. This is where the Data Manager comes in, sitting within the digital marketing team and working alongside the in-house technology and business insights teams, this person’s role will be to strategize how they can make the most of this data.
Key functions include:
- Play the lead role in developing the reporting and dashboarding of the customer data.
- Responsible for working with marketing, strategists, user experience and analytics teams to continually refine the strategic data vision.
- Own the customer data work-stream working closely with the Business Insights Team, Solutions Architects and platform and development teams: from capturing initial business requirements, through to mar-tech identification where appropriate.
- Consult, design and oversee the technologies that underpin the delivery of digital customer experience and relationship management programmes.
The right person for this role will come from an ecommerce background with experience working in a large globally recognised brand. You will have a deep knowledge of customer data, CRM, loyalty programmes and performance marketing as well as the technologies used to report and analyse this data. It is expected this person will already be working at a senior level, contributing to or developing the strategy for data analytics but will have come from a more hands-on background, comfortable using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Google Analytics technologies as a minimum.
In addition to this you will be experienced in working alongside Data Scientists and Performance Marketers. You will have a working knowledge of the digital media and ad-tech landscape and be able to be a thought leader across the department. Personality-wise it is expected that you will have strong commercial acumen and will live and breathe a collaborative working style.
