Data Scientist | SAAS Start-Up | London | £40k
RedCat Digital are currently working with an exciting SAAS start-up which offers advanced predictive analytics automation to find a Data Scientist to join the team in London.
Customer service and feedback can be messy for many businesses, especially those with a large customer base. As their customer base grows so does the volume of feedback provided and in 2019 it is imperative that a company is able to effectively analyse this to ensure the service they provide to their customers is the best it can be.
This is where my client comes in. They have developed software based on sophisticated Machine Learning algorithms which can make sense of the vast feedback some companies accrue. Their flagship product automatically classifies data involving a lot of text by using machine learning to label concepts rather than rules/concepts, and requires minimum human effort for maximum accuracy. It can be used for enhanced insight into verbatim text data, Robotic Process Automation, or sentiment analysis for consumer feedback.
The current need is to bring a Data Scientist on board to work alongside the Lead Data Scientist and the CTO. This role will be focused on algorithm development, continually improving the predictive analytics engine so it can continue to process huge amounts of data for their clients. This will heavily focus on NLP techniques such as text classification and sentiment analysis. The company is currently 10 people, meaning they are flexible in their approach to working and are able to provide an excellent environment for somebody to learn and experiment rather than be confined by a large corporate structure.
The right person for this role will have a very solid foundation in Machine Learning and statistical techniques. It is expected you will have a solid academic or research background in these subjects and will have some proven experience in NLP/text classification/linguistics. You will be a confident Python user and ideally will have a strong working knowledge of neural networks.
Additionally you will be someone who is p[passionate about entering the Data Science space and is already active in the community. We are looking for those who are active on Github and are passionate about experimenting with datasets.
