About the role:

Finance Writer required for a leading London Agency (hybrid working). You’ll be the copy guardian across all the financial services client roster.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of writing for both B2B & B2C audiences within the financial services / insurance sector. I am looking for someone with experience of writing long form copy that can also work in a fast paced environment and turn multiple pieces of content around quickly and accurately.

You’ll write compelling email marketing copy for both marketing and transactional emails. You’ll craft social media copy, product copy, web copy, along with financial product and financial feature descriptions.

What’s more, you’ll be responsible for brainstorming, creating, and transforming ideas into words for industry reports, product collateral, articles, e-mails, blogs, websites, press releases and various other forms of external and internal communications.

As writing pro, you’ll ensure we communicate both effectively and professionally through all our communication channels. And meet deadlines with quality, communicating and collaborating with others to set reasonable goals on deliverables to achieve high-quality work, on time.

What skills you need:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • A keen writer who can think out of the box; you have a high attention to detail and are articulate in everything you create.

 

  • A born wordsmith, you have an excellent command of grammar and can always find the most appropriate turn of phrase for every situation.

 

  • You’ll have great marketing acumen, with an understanding of how to write copy for C-suite – senior stakeholders in large organisations.

 

  • You’ll be well-versed in writing long copy, with the ability to make complex financial products & comms digestible and compelling, all within the correct tone of voice of the chosen brand(s).

 

  • You’ll be comfortable reviewing long, complex documents such as source material (e.g. White Papers, Thought Leadership articles) and pulling out the salient points for informed copywriting.

 

  • Ideally, you’ll have a B2B and finance / insurance background – able to quickly grasp content and expertly shape it for the audience.

 

  • As copy almost always is accompanied with creative and design, you’d need to collaborate with art directors / designers to shape these creative outputs.
