Working for a leading telco, the Head of Product Development will work with key stakeholders across the business, including network, IT, propositions, billing & finance teams, call centre teams and infrastructure teams and ensure alignment with the end-to-end strategy.


The head of Product Development’s remit will be broad, looking across all aspects of the end-to-end specific product capabilities from helping scope what capabilities will be offered, to defining customer journeys, interfaces, testing and how to work with partners.


The Head of Product Development will be responsible for:

  • Working with a cross-functional team including ITNO, ISP, Infrastructure, Finance, HR and BD to define requirements for product specific capability
  • Taking product and business ownership of key developments, defining clear business vision and working with technology and operational teams to deliver new improvements and capabilities across the business
  • Aligning test and delivery timelines
  • Working with the proposition and marketing teams to develop and launch a product specific proposition
  • Taking product ownership of relevant product and assurance content in knowledge bases in all channels


The Head of Product Development will have:

  • A delivery background, preferably in the telecoms, broadband, utilities or IT sectors
  • Strong experience in product development, product ownership, customer operations or propositions, consulting, business analysis, programme/project management background
  • Experience in creating and analysing data sources, leveraging outputs to identify opportunities or creating performance KPIs
  • Wholesale experience
  • Ability to demonstrate innovation and creativity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
