Scrum Master

About the role

Our client is looking for a talented, inspirational Scrum Master to join a development squad who can lead and support their product and engineering teams to deliver world-class software solutions across the business. You will have a passion for building customer products, combined with a deep understanding of Agile practices to help teams deliver quality solutions to support business KPIs.

  • You will own the product release plan, review and update with the relevant departments, ensuring stakeholder sign off for amendments
  • Present the release plan to all stakeholders, Account Managers, Product, IT & Development teams on a weekly basis
  • Liaise between all departments to ensure any alterations are communicated and updated in line with releases
  • Work with IT Operations to manage the end-to-end release process on behalf of the scrum team, reviewing the release readiness on a daily basis with the scrum team prior to a release
  • Be available during the release window to provide communications to business and product stakeholders on timescales, downtime and the success or failure of the release
  • Facilitate and run: Daily stand ups, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews once per sprint, refinement sessions twice per sprint
  • Coordinate Agile games during sprint retrospectives to analyse the success of a sprint; document steps for improvement in the next sprint and circulate to the scrum team
  • Ensure the Definition of Done exists in a central location, accessible to the whole team and is reviewed by the team periodically
  • Use the refinement and sprint planning sessions to ensure that all tickets to be brought into the sprint are clearly articulated to increase future efficiencies within the team
  • Organise and facilitate quarterly PI Planning events
  • Work with the scrum teams to ensure they deliver an overall delivery timeline for product increments and a sprint-by-sprint plan documenting capacity and work to be completed
  • Keep a log of key risks and issues to be communicated to business stakeholders
