Presales Solutions Consultant
Are you a management consultant with experience in finance and accountancy but feel stifled in your current role? Did you study computer science or dabble in coding in your spare time? Do you love finance but crave more than just finance and accounting, wanting to use your knowledge and passion for tech in a client-facing role? This could be the perfect move for you!
Having said that, you could be in a pre-sales role, even a business analyst or consultant in a Finance/ Accountancy software company – it’s the aptitude, tech interest and soft skills I’m recruiting for!
My client is seeking a driven individual to join their team as a Solutions Consultant. In this role, you’ll be pivotal in delivering innovative software solutions, enhancing client satisfaction, and contributing to the growth of our client’s cutting-edge data-matching and exception management platform. You’ll have the opportunity to work with an impressive global client base spanning Financial Services, Fintech, Insurance, and e-Commerce.
The role is varied and exciting, with full training on the role, product, and company provided. To be successful, you will need excellent communication skills (and a keen interest in a client-facing role), curiosity about technology (coding in your spare time, completing a computer science course, etc.), and a strong understanding of the world of finance and accounting. You will likely have worked in that sector as a Management Consultant (Finance & Accounting team) and understand the challenges of manual reconciliation, seeing the true benefit of my client’s product offering.
**The Role**
As a Solutions Consultant, you’ll play a crucial role in both pre-sales and post-sales activities. You’ll have the opportunity to:
– Lead pre-sales discovery calls to understand prospective clients’ needs and present tailored solutions.
– Conduct post-sales discovery calls to identify unmet client needs and suggest new configurations or additional modules.
– Standardise offerings for industry verticals, highlighting common use cases and features.
– Assist with proof-of-concept selection and execution.
– Document client processes for knowledge sharing and improvement.
**What Your Background and Experience Should Look Like**
– Minimum of 2-3 years in an auditing or accounting role at a Big 4 firm, or experience working for a SaaS company focused on financial management/accounting.
– Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, terms, and regulations.
– Strong stakeholder management/client-facing skills, with a genuine enjoyment of such interactions.
– Technical skills – any experience or knowledge of software in this space is beneficial, but a curiosity about technology and a willingness to learn is even more important.
In just over 18 months, my client has grown from 20 to 75 people. Exciting times are ahead, making it a great time to join a huge success story!
