About the role:

Trending Lifestyle Reporter required for a leading digital published for a 12 month fixed term contract. They are based in London and currently operate a hybrid working (1 day per week in the London office).

This is an exciting time to join my client as they look to double down on trending content, launch new formats and franchises and focus on growing a loyal audience. As both a publisher and platform, they are looking for a lifestyle journalist who can complement a vast bank of provider content by considering how my client can put a unique spin on the stories everyone’s talking about – and plan coverage for upcoming events they know will be huge.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Use social media and analytics tools to be across breaking and big stories, pitching unique coverage opportunities to build in a CMS
  • Collaborate with the Audience team to prep and plan for upcoming trending events
  • Sync with other trending section reporters on big stories
  • Source expert input, where applicable, to ensure content is informative and trusted
  • Help plan and execute new formats and franchises

What skills you need:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience creating lifestyle content for a leading digital publisher
  • A proven ability to offer a different take on a big story
  • Boasts numerous expert contacts and experience obtaining stories from different sources
  • A history of creating SEO-optimised and evergreen content
  • Has media law training, and preferably NCTJ qualified
