Senior Data Scientist | Reinforcement Learning Focus | London | £100k + £10k car allowance + 20% bonus
RedCat Digital are currently working with a global telco giant with a fantastic track record of innovation in the Big Data space. With over 400 million customers worldwide, their goal is to pioneer a revolution in how these people communicate by creating innovative data-driven products that empower their customer-base.
We are currently looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the central team in London. This team has a global remit and is responsible for creating the innovative initiatives which can then be adapted by local teams across the world. The variety of work is vast, you could be working on a customer segmentation model one week and then be focusing on streamlining an aspect of the supply chain another. The models and hypotheses they construct are seen as the best in class and this centralised team truly acts as a centre of excellence for the business.
Key responsibilities will involve:
- Design & develop reusable models, leveraging Artificial Intelligence to drive global scaleability, revenue and innovation.
- Develop Machine Learning models that can be automated and scaled across markets worldwide.
- Using Reinforcement Learning, develop recommender systems.
- Work according to agile methodology framework, consulting with key stakeholders to ensure analytical solutions meet business needs.
The right person for this role will be a proven Data Scientist with experience of developing statistical and machine learning models and algorithms from large volumes of structured and unstructured datasets.
You will have a deep understanding of statistical modelling including deep learning and reinforcement learning as well as expertise in applied artificial intelligence.
The tech stack includes; Hadoop, Spark, SQL, Python, SciPy, Scala and you will be expected to have proven expertise in these areas.
It is expected that you will be able to approach projects with the mind-set of a researcher, therefore somebody with a PhD will be highly valued however this must be complimented by experience outside of academia in a commercial data science environment.
Alongside these technical skills you will also be comfortable in a client-facing role, be able to understand the wider business impact of the work you do and be able to work with other Data Scientists and non-technical stakeholders to translate your work.
